Santa Fe Student takes 1st Place at Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational

MONROVIA - Isla Terrill, an 8th grader from Santa Fe Computer Science Magnet School, finished first in the girl's varsity race, one of the prestigious runs held at this invitational. Her time of 12 minutes 9 seconds for this two-mile race put her in first place out of 71 runners from across the country and 34 seconds in front of the next runner. 
 
The Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational is a highly anticipated annual event in cross-country running held at the famous Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California. The invitational draws top middle school, high school, and college cross-country teams from across the country, who come together to compete in a variety of races.
 
 
Congratulations, Isla, on your first-place finish! Thank you for representing the Monrovia Unified School District with this outstanding achievement. We are all very proud of what you have accomplished.
