Physical Education
Our Physical Education Department is committed to teaching students to enjoy and understand the benefits of life-long physical fitness. We provide this by teaching the students fitness education, engaging in competition as appropriate to age and grade level, and having students participate in a wide variety of motor skills designed to enhance the mental, physical, and social/emotional development of every student recognizing individual achievements.
We feel it is essential to promote a healthy lifestyle through quality education. Research shows that physical education enhances academic learning. In this regard, we align ourselves with the National Standards for Physical Education to develop our framework and curricula.
Our goal is for our students and parents to join in savoring the benefits of lifelong fitness, knowing this will lead to longer and healthier lifestyles.
